Boko Haram Murdered 21 civilians in Borno

Boko Haram murdered not less than 21 civilians in attack by suspected Boko Haram members on Saturday in Dawashe, a town in Borno State.

In another confrontation, five members of young volunteers, known as Civilian Joint Task Force, were killed in Ajilari, Ngomari and Bulukumtu in the state, according to the Associated Press.

The toll and circumstances of the incident could not be immediately verified independently.

Among those killed were five members of the “Civilian JTF” who were on a manhunt for Boko Haram in Mainok town, 58km west of Maiduguri.

The attack on the “Civilian JTF” was the first since the group took courage to hunt down Boko Haram in the state in the last two months.
