NEMA said the plane took off and immediately nose-dived into a building in the area.

According to a witness, the crash occurred at the local wing of the airport close to the Lagos Airport Cargo Shed were JET-A1, plane fuel, is stored.

Fire service officials were seen evacuating the occupants of the plane.
