Many killed in clash between Nigerian army and Islamists.
The iconoclast attacked camp and a police station in the town of Damboa, in Borno state, at evening on Friday while most of the troops were patrolling in surrounding
villages, drawing an army response, the defence spokesman General Chris
Olukolade said in a addition.
About 5 soldiers and a senior officer were murdered while trying to drive attacker back.
The villa were cordoned off and searched, while the bodies of the fallen
soldiers were recovered and taken to a military morgue. The injured once were immediate took to the military medical facility for treatment.
