Okocha warns Eagles

Sustin ‘Jay-Jay’ Okocha has warned the Super Eagles not to underrate their opponents in their upcoming 2014 World Cup qualifying match against Kenya.

Nigeria play against the Harambee Stars on March 23 and Stephen Keshi has already called-up a number of NPFL and foreign based players for the encounter.

“The players must be aware that every team that is meeting them now works extra-hard because they want to be the first to beat the African champions. Kenya will aim to embarrass us here and that is what the Eagles must fight to avoid,” Okocha warned.

The former Bolton Wanderers captain warned the Super Eagles to show the same character they exhibited at the Nations Cup which culminated in being crowned African champions.

“They have to play like champions. They must apply the same zeal and commitment which they exhibited at the Nations Cup.” he said
